About For Her Healing

Welcome to For Her Healing, a space created for women navigating the unique and overwhelming pain of betrayal trauma. If you’re here, you may be feeling lost, hurt, and unsure of how to move forward. Please know this: you are not alone. This space was born out of my own journey through heartbreak, and my hope is that it can be an oasis where you feel seen, understood, and supported as you heal.

I used to look at this picture

and long to return to the woman I was then—a woman blissfully unaware of what was about to shatter her world.

But six years later, I no longer wish to go back. The journey since, though painful, brought me home to myself in ways I never expected.

My Journey.

My story mirrors those of countless women who discover that their most important relationship isn’t actually what they thought it was. The night I found out the truth about what was happening in my marriage marked a new chapter in my life. It felt like Before Rupture and After Rupture were two different lives, lived by two different women.

Betrayal seemed to rupture every part of my life. My physical health. My sense of self. My faith. I was drowning in a sea of grief, anger, enormous sadness, and disbelief with no clear way out.

But as I began to seek support and care for myself in new ways, often slowly and imperfectly, I found strength I didn’t know I had. Healing became a journey of rediscovery—of reclaiming my worth, nurturing my body, and reconnecting with my faith.

This space exists because I know how isolating betrayal trauma can feel. But I want you to know there is hope, even if your life feels unclear right now.

My Approach

I come to this work as a trauma-informed partner peer facilitator through A Door of Hope. Being trauma-informed shapes how I see and hold women’s stories, and I invite the questions: What happened to her? What’s her story? rather than What’s wrong with her? This training gave me the tools to create peer-led recovery groups that are safe, supportive, and embody a presence of witness and with-ness.

Through my own lived experience with anxiety, digestive disorders, complex PTSD, and other health challenges, my curiosity deepened. I wanted to better understand how a woman's trauma history impacted her overall health, which led me to train as a functional medicine health coach and later became board-certified. Walking this path firsthand has shaped my understanding of how trauma affects the mind, body, and spirit–and why healing is nonlinear and not one-size-fits-all. While the healing journey can be challenging, it can also be illuminating and empowering.

I believe in the power of community–in women coming together to support and walk alongside one another. I believe in the presence of a loving God (or a Higher Power of your understanding). And I believe there are countless women carrying the pain of relational rupture and betrayal who need a place to share openly and honestly, without fear of judgment. In the midst of pain, my hope is to offer that kind of space–a safe place to land.

“They will hold us up, and they will teach us to fly. There is healing and joy in the family of women.”

— Alice May

Betrayal can feel like being stranded in a desert–a dry, barren landscape with no source of water or relief in sight. For Her Healing is meant to be an oasis: a place of refuge, renewal, and restoration, where you can pause and rest along the way.

Through trauma-informed, peer-led groups, shared community, supportive one-to-one care, and thoughtfully created resources, my hope is to walk alongside you as a traveling companion on your unique healing journey.

A Little About Me

Outside of this space, I’m a wife and mom to two spirited daughters who continually remind me of the importance of laughter, play, and resilience. I find glimmers through beauty, writing, time in nature, and creating spaces where women feel safe and valued.

My perfect Saturday afternoon involves a Topo Chico, a cozy spot to curl up, and a good book—pure bliss. My faith in God has been an anchor throughout my healing journey, and while I honor each woman’s unique beliefs, my hope is that this space offers a sense of hope and renewal that faith has brought me.
